Problem with type-c port

HP Recommended
HP Pavilion x360 Convertible - 15t-dq200 touch - Product 9ZF94AV_1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to use the type-c port and convert it to hdmi I tried to use a cable and used a dongle, but it doesn't work. This message pops up I understand the problem, does the port need to install certain programs in order to work

The USB C port on the computer doesn't support display. You cannot connect a monitor to the USB C port.
