When I installed the drivers from the Microsoft Update Center, my system booted with a blue screen and an error "Thread stuck in device driver", then reboot and it's okay.
When I installed the official drivers from AMD, the computer began to freeze every three seconds for 1 second. Help!
I try to install latest driver from AMD, penultimate driver from AMD, driver from support page of my notebook from HP drivers.
I can’t install driver "15.200.1060.0 Aug 7, 2015". Install freezes at the very beginning. When I try to install the driver through the "device manager", a half-screen of death appears with the error "VIDEO DXGKRNL FATAL ERROR" on half the installation. After the computer restarts, the initial problem returns: when the computer turns on, the "THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER" error appears.

Welcome to HP Community
I have gone through your Post and would like to help
I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...
HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
-
Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

-
Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

-
Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
-
Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
-
Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also ensure Windows is up to date.
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available
Keep me posted how it goes
Thank you and have a wonderful day 😊

I am convinced that this will not help. After this problem arose, I tried various drivers, when this did not lead to the proper result, I reinstalled the system completely (formatting the hard disk). Even after a clean reinstall of the system, my problem was not solved. I believe that this is a problem in the video card - it crashed mechanically.
