I have the same problem. It showed up after I upgraded to Windows 11. Restart solves it for a little while but it always comes back. I suspect it's a display driver problem that HP needs to fix. I had to go to a dark mode theme, grays as pink is driving me nuts.

Sorry that you are also having the problem but I'm glad that I'm not the only one.

My laptop is completely up to date including BIOS updates. It won't occur in the BIOS screen because it goes away for awhile after restarting.

As a followup I did try going into the BIOS screen and left it there for an hour or so. There was no issue with the display that I could tell.

It seems to occur after the laptop wakes from sleep. If I completely shut it down it sometimes returns to normal and will stay that way all day as long as the laptop doesn't sleep. However as of tonight even a complete shutdown "shutdown /s /f /t 0" doesn't get rid of it.

It does NOT have the pink hue on a connected external monitor.

I can see a haze drop over the login screen just before the desktop is shown after logging in.

None of this was happening until I upgraded to Windows 11.

Please advise, otherwise I'm going to open a support ticket and send it in for repair.

Son of a... Never mind. Windows 11 night light was on and scheduled. I don't remember turning it on, might be a default in Windows 11. The intensity was set to 50% which also makes me think I didn't set it because that makes the screen very pink.

My bad, sorry for the trouble. But, I thought I'd let you know in case someone else runs across this.

@PushOrigin,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing Display issues with the HP Spectre Laptop PC.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Try doing Reset PC Keep my files and check if it works.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
