I hope your computer is still covered by a repair warranty. I just had to buy a new laptop one week ago because something very similar happened to my HP but it was no longer covered. It is only 2 1/2 years old and the hard drive still works just fine. However, first the left handed bottom corner of my screen popped out after a tiny screw and almost invisible piece of plastic popped out. I tried taping it but that didn't work out and finally clipped it with very small clips I found at Michael's. That worked for about a week but one morning the glass started cracking and breaking. A Geek Squad told me this was common problem with these touch screens that you can fold back and it would cost about $400 to replace it. I think I paid $450 for the laptop new. Good luck.
