I use a KVM switch to share an external monitor (LG HDR 4K) and a keyboard/mouse combo between this laptop and a desktop computer. All was well until I upgraded the laptop to Windows 11. The desktop is still fine with the switch, but the laptop does not recognize it through the switch anymore. I am able to directly connect the external monitor to the laptop - all works fine that way.
The vendor has said ... This KVM supports max 3840x2160 with refresh rate of 30Hz. Requires laptop output resolution of 30Hz, and a monitor also needs 30Hz.
30Hz is not a choice on the laptop, only 60Hz and 40Hz. I tried setting both the monitor and the laptop at 60Hz, but there was no change. Could the laptop have had a 30Hz refresh rate option under Windows 10 that is no longer available under Windows 11? If so, can I do anything in Windows 11 to get the 30Hz option back or do I need to downgrade? Sadly, I am beyond the 10 day window so a downgrade doesn't sound like a lot of fun. I'm willing to do it, but want to be sure that's my only option before proceeding. Thanks for any thoughts or help on this.
