HP Envy notebook works fine stand-alone but when I connect to my Sony A8 TV via the HDMI port the cursor movement on the TV screen is very rough and delayed compared to on the notebook screen like it's not updating the screen often enough. It worked fine with my HP Pavilion notebook but that has now been retired. Is there a fix for this please?

Problem solved. I used the Windows Display parameters to change the refresh rate for the TV from 24fps to 60fps and all good now.
