SCREEN GOES BLANK ONCE I PLUG/UNPLUG POWER ADAPTOR. THIS SEEMS AS A HARDWARE ISSUE. HELP PLEASE....

I understand your OMEN 16 laptop screen goes blank whenever you plug in or unplug the power adapter, which can feel like a hardware issue. Let’s try a few steps to narrow it down:

Update Graphics & BIOS – Go to the HP Support page, enter your product number, and install the latest BIOS and graphics drivers.

Display Settings Check – In Windows, right-click the desktop > Display Settings > Advanced display settings and ensure the refresh rate matches the laptop’s native panel (usually 144Hz/165Hz).

Power Options – Press Win + X > Power Options > Additional power settings. Check your Plugged in and On battery display settings and make sure they’re not switching GPUs or refresh rates in a way that causes the screen to blank.

Hard Reset – Shut down the laptop, disconnect the power adapter, and hold the power button for 15 seconds. Reconnect and power it on.

External Monitor Test – Connect an external display. If the issue happens only on the laptop screen, it may be a display cable or panel issue,
