Hi @usmanais,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The screen flicker issue on your HP 15 laptop when resuming from standby could be caused by several factors. Here are a few troubleshooting steps to try.
Update Display Drivers:
- Open Device Manager (right-click on Start > Device Manager).
- Expand the Display adapters section.
- Right-click on your graphics driver (likely Intel or AMD) and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software or download the latest drivers directly from the HP or graphics manufacturer website.
Disable Display Power Saving Features:
- Open the Control Panel > Power Options.
- Click on Change plan settings next to your selected power plan.
- Click on Change advanced power settings.
- In the window that appears, look for Display > Enable adaptive brightness, and turn it Off for both "On battery" and "Plugged in".
Disable Fast Startup:
- Open Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do.
- Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable.
- Uncheck the box next to Turn on fast startup and click Save changes.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and check if there are any pending updates.
Adjust Refresh Rate:
- Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings.
- Scroll down and click on Advanced display settings.
- Check the Refresh rate setting and adjust it to the highest available setting.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
