HP Pavilion - 15-cs3152tx

Hi everyone, After upgrading my HP Pavilion 15-cs3152tx to Windows 11, I started experiencing constant screen flickering. I investigated the issue and found that the Intel Iris graphics driver seems to be incompatible with Windows 11. Here’s what I’ve tried so far: - Rolled back the graphics driver to a previous version - Disabled hardware acceleration in apps - Updated BIOS and display settings Unfortunately, none of these steps have resolved the issue. The flickering persists and is affecting my productivity. 🔍 System Details: - Device: HP Pavilion 15-cs3152tx - OS: Windows 11 (latest update) - GPU: Intel Iris Graphics Has anyone faced this issue on a similar setup or found a reliable fix? I’d really appreciate any help or suggestions! Thanks in advance.

Hi @hsnbat

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

You're absolutely right to suspect a driver conflict—screen flickering on HP Pavilion 15-cs3152tx after upgrading to Windows 11 is often tied to Intel Iris graphics driver instability. A clean installation of the latest HP-customized driver typically resolves the issue.

Step-by-Step Fix for Screen Flickering on HP Pavilion 15-cs3152tx with Intel Iris Graphics

1. Perform a Clean Installation of HP-Certified Intel Graphics Driver

Generic Intel drivers may not work reliably with HP’s customized hardware.

  • Visit: HP Pavilion 15-cs3152tx Drivers
  • Download the latest Intel Graphics Driver listed for Windows 11
  • Open Device Manager > Display adapters
  • Right-click Intel Iris Graphics > Uninstall device (check “Delete the driver software for this device”)
  • Restart your laptop
  • Install the HP-certified driver you downloaded

This ensures full compatibility with your system’s firmware and display panel.

2. Disable Variable Refresh Rate and Hardware Acceleration

These features can cause flickering on certain panels.

  • Go to Settings > System > Display > Graphics
  • Scroll to Default graphics settings
  • Turn off Variable refresh rate
  • In apps like Chrome, Edge, or Office, disable hardware acceleration in their settings

This reduces GPU strain and prevents sync conflicts.

3. Reset Windows Display Signal Format

  • Right-click desktop > Display settings
  • Scroll to Advanced display settings
  • Click Display adapter properties
  • Under Monitor tab, confirm Colors is set to True Color (32 bit)

Ensures full color depth and stable signal output.

4. Run HP UEFI Display Diagnostics

  • Restart and press Esc, then F2
  • Select Component Tests > Display Test
  • Follow the on-screen instructions

Confirms whether the issue is hardware-related or purely driver/software-based.

5. Update BIOS and Firmware

BIOS updates often include fixes for display timing and graphics compatibility.

Let me know what happens after the clean driver install and BIOS update—I’ll guide you further based on that.

You're doing everything right by staying proactive and documenting the issue clearly.

Hi
Thank you very much for the detailed answer.

I tried all option

1. Perform a Clean Installation of HP-Certified Intel Graphics Driver

I opened the given link and also tried by self. The online server deos not have Windows 11 driver for my system. Only Window 10 Operating system is available.

2. Disable Variable Refresh Rate and Hardware Acceleration

Did the same but issue still exist when system powered on (in morning).

And used also the ramaining options but could not succeed.Image_20251016013359_17_25.jpg

Another thing.
The Display is not present during UEFI Display test.
Also the bit rate (32) was not found Windows Display Signal Format. SS attached of both. Screenshot (100).pngImage_20251016014855_19_25.jpgImage_20251016014851_18_25.jpg

@hsnbat

You’ve done an excellent job documenting the issue and sharing your workaround—it will absolutely help others facing the same challenge.

Your workaround of disabling and re-enabling the driver after startup is a smart and effective fix.

This is not the final solution.
I would like to request HP to enable windows 11 drivers for my PC.
