Microsoft Windows 11

Screen started flickering in last few days. Starts/stops randomly. Hard to replicate. Sometimes it flickers when I move my mouse arrow across tabs in chrome. Sometimes screen just goes black when doing nothing. Clicking mouse on screen brings back to life. Very frustrating. Have another monitor plugged in as well but hasn't been a problem before. Updated  to Windows 11 in February. Thanks!

I have the same issues. They are never seen when I connect external display.

Last week it was very horrible, I then updated windows, drivers, nvidia etc. Problem disappeared. Now it came back and it is much harder.

It looks like that this flickering is because of stwitching between two different display cards. I have noticed that geforce is working with lower resolution than integrated one. Maybe this is because of temperature, it happens more often during charging.

For now my computer is just useless, I need to find different computer to work on it.

Unfortunately there is no will from HP to help me 😞

I also have an Envy 15 and recently starting having the exact same problems! I tried updating drivers and then removing and reinstalling drivers. I tried updating windows. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling potential problem programs. I've noticed it seems to happen more when switching programs or running processes that use more processing power. Can someone at HP please help us? I've been reading lots of online reports of people with HP Envys having very similar problems in the last few days.

So I think I solved this. Hopefully, maybe.

I went into Windows 11 settings under display and changed the standard display from SD to HD (it’s a toggle) toward bottom of page

so far it seems to have helped.

we’ll see.

Thanks for responding! Was it this toggle? If not, can you tell me where you found the one that you used?

This looks like a workaround rather than a solution to the problem.
I turned off HDR a long time ago consciously because it interfered with my work. They had to change something in the drivers or Windows: / Interestingly - after enabling HDR for the built-in screen, the problem actually disappeared. On the external ones, I do not need to have it turned on because there is no problem there.

I wonder if and when HP will possibly address this problem. But I probably will not wait, as well as the fact that the HP Command Center does not want to work because of VBS.

The HDR toggle did not fix the issue, and it's still happening and getting worse. I've tried removing all of the recent updates to my computer. HP, can you please help all of us experiencing this issue?!

Yeah, I have tried everything in this thread and it's constantly happening to my laptop as well. Screen flickering randomly and mouse sometimes stops working, a few months ago after an update my audio was glitching out through my speakers on my laptop and now dealing with this is just irritating to even try and work on. Hoping HP fixes this soon..

I tried solutions and:
1) no more flickering on mouse move - yay
2) still random blank screen for 3-5 seconds, sometimes with halting sound sometimes without halting sound

3) hardware acceleration is randomly turning on and off

HP support don't want to help, Microsoft support don't want to help

It was the last time when I bought something from HP for my company.  I don't care whos fault is it but lack of support is very sad. I already have too much problems with this laptop which I need to solve by my own. To be honest it is not worth money I payed for it...
