At times, my laptop would show a thin purple line at the top of the screen. It disappears from time to time. Then, suddenly, the whole screen flickers purple and pink.

When connected to external monitor, there's no flickering. I tried updating the drivers, it's still the same. Like the purple line, the flickering also stops at times and come back after a while again.

What can I do to resolve this issue?

Hi,

Most likely it is a problem with the LCD panel, which can only be solved by replacing the panel.

Can you provide the exact model number of the notebook

and we can help you with info on how this is done.

Hope it helps,

David

Hi! The model is HP 15s-eq3xxx.

The flickering disappears after a while, then comes back again whenever the screen sleeps.

I lowered the refresh rate to 40z and the flickering color disappeared. What is the implication of this?
