I received the laptop today and it is brand new. I've noticed that the screen of the laptop does not shut down when the lid is closed. I have it connected to a HP Thunderbolt dock that feeds two display screens. My my other laptops, I could close the lid and the screen of the laptop would shut down but the other two screens fed by the dock would stay working. Not sure what's going on here.
Edit: this only occurs when it is plugged into the HP Thunderbolt Dock G4 (280W model). It does not occur when not plugged into any power or plugged into its own power supply unit.
Laptop: HP ZBook Studio 16 inch G11 Mobile Workstation PC Wolf Pro Security Edition - Data Science (8S9Q4EA)
Dock: HP Thunderbolt Dock 280W G4 w/Combo Cable
Edit 2: the issue seems to be with the the HP Thunderbolt Dock G4 (280W model), specifically when the power cable from the dock is plugged into the laptop. If the power cable is unplugged and the Thunderbolt USB-C cable is left plugged in, then the laptop and external screens behave as they are expected to. So, it seems that there is some issue to do with the dock's power and I wonder if there is a setting to rectify this behaviour or if there is an issue with this particular dock or if there is a flaw with the product itself.

I tried all of these as per https://www.elevenforum.com/t/change-lid-close-action-in-windows-11.3356/ and none of those actions work.
It seems that the mechanism that indicates that the lid is closed or open is not working.
