HP ENVY x360 Laptop -15t-ed000 CTO

My HP Envy screen no longer works when I'm not connected to an external monitor. It is completely black despite seeing the LED and WiFi buttons illuminated when I disconnect from my monitor. I work from home and this is my business computer. I typically have my laptop on a docking station connected to multiple monitors. When I disconnect the monitors and try and use my laptop I cannot see a single thing and the screen remains blank. Does anyone know why this is happening? This is a brand new laptop that I purchased some time ago but just started using a year after purchase and is now out of warranty. Thank you in advance.
