This has been a constant issue when getting a new laptop for me that has been a massive hassle to fix every time.
If anyone can finally give a clear answer as to how to get to this and fix it that would be super helpful.
Let me start off with a big disclaimer:
THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE AUTOMATIC BRIGHTNESS SETTING
The issue is that when after starting up the computer the screen will constantly adjust the colors depending on what is on your page, for example. A dark page with saturated colors will become either muddled together in color or look dim and then when you switch to a white page the white is not white. It becomes grey in color and dim then it will adjust to the full white after afew seconds of staying in that page.
Like I said, this is not an automatic brightness issue it is literally the colors changing and adjusting on the screen, the screen doesn't darken or brighten the colors literally adjust and change to be more vibrant or more dull.
The last time I've dealt with this it has always been under some hidden hard to get to powersaver setting in graphics. Maybe it's different now but every other time it's been because of some kind of power saver setting to where it adjusts the screens colors.
I'm unsure what to do because it's literally something that can be turned off however it's near impossible to find. I hope I'm not the only person experiencing this issue and is having a hard time finding the solution to it.

-
Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
-
Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
-
Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also ensure Windows is up to date.
