Hi @marnsy,

Thank you for showing your interest in HP Support Forums. It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. For you to have the best experience on the HP forum, you could also visit our HP Forums Guide for the First Time Here? I see from the post that you are having issues with the screen flickering and text disappearing after loading into Windows on your HP notebook. Don't worry as I have a few steps which should help you resolve this issue.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

What is the product number of your product? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824

Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?

When was the last time it worked without these issues? Have you attempted a system restore?

Have you checked if the screen flickers in the Bios?

In the meantime, let's start off by performing a Hard Reset on the notebook: A power reset (or hard restart) clears all information from the computer's memory without erasing any personal data. Performing a power reset might fix conditions such as Windows not responding, a blank display, software freezing, the keyboard stops responding, or other external devices locking up.

Please restart the computer, tap on F10 during the restart and when you get to the BIOS interface, stay there and wait for the amount of time it normally takes to flicker, etc...and reply back with the details of what happened during your time in the BIOS interface. If the screen flickers in the Bios screen as this is outside of windows, this clearly is an indication of a hardware failure.

If the screen stays fine without flickering, I would suggest the next thing would be to update the Bios and graphics card drivers from our HP support website, using this link.

I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes for further assistance. I'll be more than happy to help.

Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,

It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.
