Hi,
I'm using two external 4K displays (Samsung) on my HP Envy x360 - 15-cn0305ng. One display is directly connected to the notebook via HDMI, the other one is connected via HDMI to a cheap USB-C Hub (non HP). The USB-C Hub is then connected to the notebook. The picture on the screen, which is connected via the USB-C Hub, is flickering from time to time. Sometimes it runs quite stable over several hours, but sometimes also it's constantly flickering, the screen is getting black and then comes back again seconds later.
I thought maybe the cheap USB-C Hub causes that problem, so I looked for a USB-C Hub on the HP homepage and I found the HP Envy USB-C Hub in the store. My notebook is not explicitly named under the compatible devices.
Maybe someone knows if the HP USB-C Hub can solve that problem or somebody had the same issue and knows how to get rid of it?
Any help is appreciated.
BR

Your machine should be able to connect to 4K monitor using USB-C port. Now the flow goes to converters twice therefore normally you need good cables and/or adapter.
I don't know the quality of your hub and the USB-C to HDMI cable. I believe HP USB-C Gen 5 would work in this case. I did few tests on few different machines, only 1 thing I could not test : connect the dock to 4K + FHD (2 monitors) because I do not have a 4K monitor in my house.
Regards.
