Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Since I've purchased my laptop, it will occasionally 'scramble' the screen (think 80's snow on the television before about 6 a.m.) and very occasionally while simply using the laptop.  It's never risen above the level of mildly annoying, but I'm unsure as to whether or not there is any fix for it.

@Geek4Him

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

I see that you’re experiencing issues with the display,

  • When was the last time it worked fine?

I recommend you attempt to access the BIOS screen by tapping on F10 while the computer is restarting,

If the issue persists in the BIOS screen which is outside windows, it would confirm a hardware failure and you will need to Contact HP to replace or repair the LCD,

However, if it doesn't show up in the BIOS, it would confirm a software issue and we'll need to reinstall or update the display drivers using the Official HP Website: www.hp.com/drivers
