Hi I done all the update hp support told me to do. Now my desk top flashes on and off. I can get into anything apart from task manager
It doesn't flick on that or the only item I can open is the hp support but you see the tool bar at the bottom of the page flick on and off a bit like when it starts up. It brings up the icons on the tool bar and then flash they have gone again.
Can anyone help?

@Nicnic200410 Greetings from the HP Community!
I have a few steps to resolve this concern,
Let's begin with an easy fix using the PowerShell tool built into windows:
- Press Windows Key + R on your keyboard.
- Key in PowerShell and hit Enter.
- Right-click on the PowerShell icon on the taskbar and select Run as Administrator.
- Now paste the following command in the Administrator: Windows PowerShell window and press Enter key:
- Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
NOW for the important part ! Locate to : C:/Users/name/AppData/Local/ and delete the TileDataLayer folder.
Should fix everything immediately, no reboot necessary.
Remember to clean the recycle bin after you deleted the folder and give it 1min then everything should be back to normal
Keep us posted,

@Nicnic200410 Alright, in that case, let's update the graphics card drivers, along with the BIOS: click here to find and install the same
Once done, restart the pc and if the issue persists, please create a new user account and check if that works.
If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.
