HP Chormebook - 14-ca023nr
Chrome OS

I purchased an HP Chromebook 14-ca023 a few weeks ago.  It is still under warranty.  It worked fine for about 3 days then the screen completely went blank.  I did the hard reset and it came back but is completely unusable with half of it grey, and the other half white (with a black spot in the corner). Picture belowIMG_0765.jpg

I have tried all of the online help options on the website, and gotten no where.  The only HP chromebook authorized repair shop in town said they have discontinued being an HP service center and did not have any help.  When I try to use the "Contact Us" part of the HP website I get a message saying the product is not supported any more.  I am struggling to figure out how to get this repaired.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

It is the screen that is broken and needs to be replaced.

The part number for the screen is L14350-001

Ex:

On page 38 point 9 and and 40 point 11 you can see the steps to replace the panel.

You can get done by a local technician. I would also check the hinges.

Hope it helps,

David

Thank you for the help.  This is a new machine that should have a screen break like that after a week of very light use.  Is there any contact information for HP to get this covered under warranty?
