Hi @Ap1105,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing two issues with your HP Laptop 14s-dq2000nh: one related to the screen and another with ink. I'll address them individually below:
Could you please elaborate in detail on the ink issue?
1. Screen Lining Issue
If you are seeing lines on your screen, this could indicate either a software or hardware issue. Here’s how to troubleshoot:
Software Troubleshooting:
- Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure your display and graphics drivers are up to date. You can update them via Device Manager or by downloading the latest drivers from the HP support website.
- Check Display Settings: Sometimes incorrect display resolution or refresh rate settings can cause screen problems. Right-click on the desktop, go to Display Settings, and check if the resolution and refresh rate are set to the recommended values.
- Test with an External Monitor: Connect your laptop to an external display to determine whether the issue is with the screen itself or the internal display adapter. If the external monitor works fine, the issue is likely with the laptop screen.
Hardware Troubleshooting:
- Check for Physical Damage: Inspect the screen for any visible damage or loose connections. Sometimes, a faulty cable or connection to the display can cause lines.
- Run HP Diagnostics: Restart your laptop and press F2 repeatedly to access HP’s diagnostics. Run the Display Test to check for any hardware faults. HP PCs - Testing for hardware failures
