Touchsmart tm2 2102tu
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a touchsmart tm2 2102tu notebook. I recently formatted my computer coz the windows 10 upgrade dint complete and my computer hung. So it had to be formatted as it wouldnt start.  Now it is working fine... but my screen orientation doesnt work when I turn  it into tablet mode....nor does the button on the side help. so if any of you could help with this issue.

Also on the touchpad the orange light doesnt light up when I double tap on it. So what has been turned off... how do I enable both the screen orientation and get that light  back on the touchpad..

thanks

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community

I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Firstly, perform Hard Reset: Follow steps from the link: https://hp.care/2GnkMa8.

Next, BIOS default:

  1. Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
  2. Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
  3. On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
  4. Press F10 to Save and Exit.
  5. Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
  6. Follow the prompts to restart your computer.

Keep me posted for further assistance.
