I have a screen problem with my HP pavilion laptop. The screen goes blank while I am working. When i attache it to the external monitors the screen displays on external monitors. To bring the screen back to normal, I need to restart the system. This happens almost every day with my laptop. I have also run the hardware test and set the system to factory settings but still, the problem is there.

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,
Let's try to update the Bios and graphics card on your notebook:
I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...
HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also ensure Windows is up to date.
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available
Keep me posted how it goes
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend 😊

Greetings,
I followed the procedure you advised. I updated all the pending installations. My system still got the same problem it turns black while I am working. When i start the system most of the time during the first hours of working it will turn black and this is happening 1 or 2 times a day. there is no update remaining in HP support system. however, the following drivers cant be updated because it shows error (driver installation failed).
Realtak High Definition (HD audio driver)
Intell WLAN driver for Microsoft windows 10
intel rapid storage technology driver.

I would recommend you run an extensive system test from F2(Please capture the failure ID for further assistance).
If the test fails then this could be a possible hardware failure.
If the test passes, I would recommend you try to perform a system recovery either using the partition available on your PC or using the recovery media.
If you have created one soon after purchase of this PC. If you don't have one or for some reason the partition is not working, In that case I would recommend the next option would be to order a set of recovery media.
To know more about how it works:

Link 2: HP PCs - Obtaining PC Recovery USB Drives or Discs
If you find it difficult to place an order, you may contact our HP support team to help you order one.
HP support team can be reached on this link.
Let me know if you need any further assistance!

I have tried all test but none of them is working. I also called HP support center in Singapore and they advised me on the phone. The system was troubleshoot on their advice but still, the screen goes black while I am working. I happen daily.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

Hi @Jeet_singh, I have the same problem. Everything is updated and checked but the problem persists. I have found that it's just the screen that turns off so I set closing the lid to 'do nothing'. When the screen turns off, I close the lid (fold the laptop) and open it again. The screen turns back on.
That's a solution but we shouldn't have to do this at all. It seems like at random points, the computer starts not to recognise the activities on screen, keyboard, and mouse so it turns the screen off.
