I am using a HP Probook 450 G7.  Earlier this week, I connected it up to new monitors:

a) a HP E27m G4 hub monitor via USB-C, which is itself connected to

b) a HP E27 G4, via DisplayPort.

All worked fine using Extended Display, with monitor lid closed.  Powered off, came in to the office today, powered on, monitors didn't detect input until I opened the lid to enter a Bitlocker password.  Both then came on fine.

However, when I close the lid, monitor three (the E27) falls from 1920 x 1080 (the maximum available) to 800 x 600!

After several attempts at trying to increase the resolution to no avail, as I was typing this up, I closed the laptop lid again, and this time, both the E27m and E27 went to a low resolution, but the former let me reset to 2560 x 1440 (its highest available), and the latter le me reset to 1920 x 1080.

So, my question - how do I retain these settings permanently so I don't have to faff about with display settings every time I connect the laptop in the office?
