I am trying to connect a second screen to my desktop. I have a HP 2011x  20" monitor connected  and I am now trying to add a second identical monitor.  I have purchased a DVI splitter and have connected it to the screens and desktop via the DVI connection. However, when I boot the system up it goes in to a sort of safety mode and the screen resolution changes.  The display settings does not recognise a second monitor and I cannot change any settings to allow an addtional monitor. Any help would be appreciated

Hi, I have managed to set things up. I used the DVI port to connect one monitor to the PC and I used a HDMI/DVI connector to connect the second screen. Works well and linked up automatically with no problems.

Thanks so much for responding

@PhilG6 here's what I'll need, so I may be able to provide an accurate solution:

What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: click here

(Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.)

Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?

When was the last time it worked without these issues?

In the meantime, please try the steps mentioned on this link: Click here

Please reply with the details for further assistance.

Eager to help!
