How do I get my HP Envy to show the amount of time left on my battery?  Right now it only shows the picture and then the percentage.  I want the actual time.

@JennMarie

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand you want to view the battery depleting time next to the icon,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

Does the battery image not show an accurate discharge when you click on the battery icon?

Normally, it only shows the time when clicked on the battery icon, however, if you need to make the changes, you could attempt the below steps to - Turn on remaining battery time,

Enabling remaining battery time is very easy and will take less than a minute. Here is what to do.

  1. Restart the PC
  2. Rapidly hit the ESC key before the HP logo appears
  3. From the menu choose F10 BIOS Setup
  4. Use the right arrow key to tab over to System Configuration
  5. Choose Battery Remaining Time and hit Enter
  6. Select Enabled
  7. Hit F10 to save and exit BIOS

Keep me posted,

If the information I've provided was helpful,

give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Good Luck.
