HP Spectre x360 - 13-aw0020nr
Microsoft Windows 11

Bought this computer a couple of years ago, and I almost never use it because, at the recommended resolution (about 3000 by 2000) the icons are about the a quarter the size of a grain of corn and the system text is about the height of a bold underline in 14 point font. It's simply unreadable without a magnifying glass. I can make the icons bigger by going to a different scale, (about 2200 by 1600), but the text stays small, the dialog boxes stay small and the windows lose the beautiful high definition for which I bought the darn thing. I've been on with Microsoft tech support and they told me to check with HP. I was, frankly, astonished not to find anyone else had this problem. Could it be a defect in my computer that I let sit for two plus years? In any event, I'd really appreciate any tips to address this issue. I'd like to use this computer for something besides watching movies (they really do look beautiful!). Thanks!

which shows it has  13.3" diagonal 4K UWVA BrightView micro-edge AMOLED multitouch-enabled edge-to-edge glass with anti-reflection Corning® Gorilla® Glass NBT™ (3840 x 2160) display.

You paid for a very expensive screen. With 13.3". screen everything should be tiny specially for people like me (and you). You should buy screen with 1920x1080 which is good enough and much cheaper. Going to different scale may make text and  icons look funny. Please try
