Spectre 16 Screen Cracking

I have a Spectre 16" (16-AA-0023DX) with a horizontal crack at the bottom of the screen. From what I read online, this is a common issue, as the thin laptop screens flex near the hinge and crack. Although this computer is still under warranty, HP will not warranty this defect. To make this issue worse, repair parts are not available. I currently own 6 HP computers between my business and personal use, and I have been very disappointed with the quality of hp laptops. This is the second major defect in the past year on two different laptops.
