HP Spectre x360 - 13-aw0026nl
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi to all,

I have been very happy with my Spectre X360 13 since i bought it 3 year ago.  Recently i have upgraded my windows 10 OS to windows 11. Up to one week ago, the laptop was performing very well with a battery duration of several hours and no flicker of the screen.

Last week suddenly the screen started flickering in a random way and , after a couple of minutes windows was frozen with a black screen. This only appends with battery power , never on AC power. I also noticed an increased fan noise going along with it. To work with the laptop i had to keep it all time connected to the AC power.

Very annoying way to work with a laptop.

I have found a way to overcome this problem and to keep working on battery power.

I change the Intel Iris graphic driver reverting to Microsoft Basic Graphic driver . I am loosing most of the graphic capability of the board but i can work again for hours without connecting to AC power.

I wonder if anyone else have experienced same problem and if there is a better solution that will allow me to keep using the features of the Iris Plus graphic adapter. It must be a problem related to power saving features of the board and therefore dependent from power input (AC or battery).

Thanks for help and suggestions.
