Spectre x360 - 15-df1033dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a 14 month old Spectre x360 - 15-df1033dx laptop.  When using Zoom, my webcam has random horizontal streaks when the power supply is connected.  My customers have commented that they see the streaks on their computers as well.  With the power supply disconnected, the problem goes away.  I have ensured that all updates have been installed and up to date and even updated the BIOS to the latest version as of 12 March 2021.  I’ve run all the HP and Microsoft diagnostics recommended by the HP support website and all tests pass.

I also tried another HP laptop power supply with no improvement.  My assumption is that there is a problem in the battery charging circuitry in the laptop.  Do you have a remedy for this issue?

I would like to solve this problem since my business is primarily conducted with clients using Zoom.  I do not want this issue to reflect on the professionalism of myself and my business.  Please address this issue.

Best regards,

Mike Moseley

@MikeAndMel, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I'd first suggest you perform a power drain on the computer. Also, follow the steps from the document https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03430151 to isolate and resolve the issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
