I bought my Hp Spectre x360 13-ap0028ca i7 with 16gb ram from canada in 2019 and moved to India ,therefore having expired warranty. I accidentally on  July2021, knocked it over my bed and it fell down on floor. But astonishing it was working without any crack on screen until now. It started glitching somewhere around previous month, It started well but after displaying Hp boot logo it displayed white and black vertical lines. Sometimes it started well but after waking up from sleep the display again displayed white and black lines. I updated my display drivers, updated bios and downgraded from win 11 to 10, but to no avail. Now the laptop starts with black and white lines from start of boot 9 out of 10 times and when it starts normally it again displays vertical lines when woke from sleep. Hp service centre told me to change display but that would cost me 800-900$(60,000₹) eventhough display is working in between. Please help me.

Hello @Kvsm

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... I would like to help you.

(1) Double check with external monitor connected via vga/hdmi cable.

Do you have the same error pattern on external monitor ?

- Power off external monitor

- Connect vga/hdmi cable

- Power on external monitor

- Power on notebook

(2Please report your results

I already did that which resulted in normal display on TV via HDMI connection. Also the touch seemed to be working.

Hello @Kvsm

Thanks for reporting.

In the simplest case the internal display cable behind the screen is no longer seated correctly. It has come loose slightly.
