Hi @Lloyd_S,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To switch between apps, like PowerPoint and Excel, on your HP Spectre x360 in tablet mode, you can use the following methods.
Task View (Swipe Gesture):
- Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (starting from the bezel) to open Task View.
- This will show all the open apps. You can tap on Excel to switch to it.
- To switch back to PowerPoint, repeat the swipe-up gesture and select PowerPoint.
Alt+Tab Equivalent:
- In tablet mode, touch gestures replace some keyboard shortcuts. To mimic "Alt+Tab", swipe left from the right edge of the screen. This action will switch between your most recently used apps.
Windows Taskbar:
- Swipe up from the bottom edge to reveal the taskbar. Tap the icon of the app (Excel or PowerPoint) you want to switch to.
Use the Virtual Desktop Feature:
- Swipe up and hold from the bottom of the screen to open Task View.
- From here, you can either switch to an open app or create a new desktop (if needed).
These gestures should help you seamlessly switch between apps without needing a keyboard.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
