We usually look at our screen straight and that's what I was doing so I did not realize that i had an issue with my display but today my friend was using my laptop while I was sitting next to him and was looking at the screen and I realized that from an angle I could a less lighted area in the center of my laptop screen which was in a square shape. I tried looking for reason behind it but I was unsuccessful and i did not even find any similar situation i just found cases who had complete black screen etc. It would be of great help if you people could help me find a solution or at least find the reason behind the problem. My laptop is just over a year old.

Welcome to the HP support community.
If you haven't, please try an alternate monitor to understand if this is either a hardware or a software failure,
If you don’t have an alternate monitor, I recommend checking if the issue appears on the BIOS screen (restart the computer and tap on F10 to access BIOS)
Let me know how it goes.

I have already done those things and have scrapped the internet for a probable cause and for a solution and when I could not find anything I posted this question.
Things I have already done :
Used different operating system
Rolled back updates
Used different monitors
Tried using dual screens option etc
Tried tired to update disable and enable driver
If there is anything else that you could suggest I'll be glad.

This seems to be a hardware issue.
I request you to talk to HP support.
They might have multiple options to help you with this.
- Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
- Select the country.
- Enter the serial of your device.
- Select the country from the drop-down.
- Click on "Show Options".
- Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
I hope that helps.
