i Have a HP Envy x360 bought in September 23, the left and right touch pad sticks so am unable to left or right click until it releases itself, it will work for a while and then sticks again making it unusable without and external mouse, not what i expect from a 3 month old £700 laptop, its a physical HW issue nothing to do with Drivers or SW

Hi @Scumfrog,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing physical issues with your laptop's touchpad, it's important to address the problem promptly. Here are some steps you can take.
Check for Physical Debris:
- Turn off your laptop.
- Use a can of compressed air to blow out any dust or debris around the touchpad.
Clean the Touchpad:
- Dampen a soft cloth with a small amount of isopropyl alcohol.
- Gently wipe the touchpad to remove any dirt or oil that might be causing it to stick.
Update Drivers:
- Even though you mentioned it's a hardware issue, it's still a good idea to make sure your touchpad drivers are up to date. Sometimes, driver issues can cause problems that mimic hardware issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
