Product: Stream 11 Pro (TPN-Q154)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)
Touchpad not working. Listed in Device Manager as ITC HIC device with the yellow circle and exclamation point
This is the error message in device manager: This device cannot start. (Code 10) A request for the HID descriptor failed.
(i tried reinstalling the drivers, that didn't help)
I had to take the lid off to take care of a loose video cable. Since then the touchpad won't work. The tape that connects the touchpad to the board got crinkled up quite a bit. I don't know if this would have any effect on functionality.
The point where the tape connets to the board has a real small point of contact, but I reseated it again and it looks like it is connected fine.
I have included a couple pictures so you can judge for yourself if the crinkled up tape is bad enough to effect functionality. They can be found here: https://imgur.com/a/8eVnOJK
Thanks a lot for your help!
