I've had my Spectre x360 16 for a few days now, been using the HP Tilt pen which came with it a fair bit with it, mainly for drawing.
Last night, with the screen off I noticed the entire screen covered with very light scratches. I can tell from the areas of the screen affected and the general direction of the scratches that they are definitely from the pen. I can't feel them with a fingernail and they are only visible (so far) with light bouncing off the screen at the right angle. I'm assuming it's only going to get worse though.
Is this a problem with an anti-glare layer or a defective pen or something? FYI the pen tip does not have sand or dirt embedded in it as some have suggested in other posts.
Does anyone know if minor scratches like these can polish out? If not I'm going to have to look at getting a replacement as I can't be doing with an increasingly scratched screen.

Having spoken to customer service at HP UK, they have suggested a return and replace/refund - I am going to get it replaced and try again but be extra vigilant re. the pen.
In the UK it's apparently quite a small team responsible for issuing refunds and replacements, and although they were very quick to suggest a replacement, they did say that my complaint was not very common. Perhaps a quality control issue with the pen tip?
If anyone does check this post out, I'm considering a screen protector or pen tip cover next time. Any thoughts?
