I recently purchased the hp pavilion x360 15-br0xx. I have been looking urgently for a stylus that is compatible with my model in order to use it for art and digital design/animation programs for school. However, HP support told me that there is no HP stylus that is compatible with my model convertible laptop. Would I be able to get away with using an HP stylus of similar model number? Is there a universal HP stylus that can be used across all HP touchscreen platforms? And/or if not, Is there any recommended stylus that I can purchase that will work for this model? Thank you, please help I am in urgent need in purchasing a good working and precise stylus for my model. Everywhere I have looked on the HP website, my model number is nonexistent (at least in terms of accessories for the model).

HP has not listed any active pen/stylus for your model series in this regularly updated document: https://support.hp.com/ph-en/document/c05166879
The closest one listed is for these models: Pavilion x360 15-bk0xx & Pavilion x360 15-bk1xx

JaimeeMarie - Sorry for your frustration. I am right there and signed up for this forum just to reply to this thread.
I got the same model hp pavilion x360 15-br0xx and HP active pen for my soon to be college student daughter for art/design needs. I tried to get her on iPad Pro, but she wanted Microsoft Platform for Gaming (Steam, Minecraft, etc). Spent an entire day troubleshooting pen issues and now to discover (on this thread and others) it will never ever work. It seemed pretty reasonable to me that an HP pen would work on a HP touchscreen, without realizing there are multiple HP pens that only work on X amount of products. I am not going to waste any more time with hit and miss magical configurations of pens on an HP 2 in 1 touchscreen laptop. From what I am seeing, nothing will work on this model.
I am packing up the pen and the HP laptop and returning it to Staples. I'm going to get the Microsoft Surface Book 13" that comes with a working pen right out of the box - on sale for $1400. That's a big jump in price from this $600 laptop, but at least I know it will work. Price is roughly that of a MacBook. The old rule: You get what you pay for.
Good luck to you!
