HP Elitebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The Sureview program has been accidentally removed from a new HP Elitebook x360 1030 G3 and now the Fn-F2 privacy mode toggle does not work .. is it possible to download another copy to re-install?

Check to see if you have this option-Reinstalling Drivers/Software> Windows 10

@Foiler

I am not even sure there is a SureView program or if the screen is solely controlled by hardware. Are you sure it had it on there?

The guide here says you press only F2 on the X360 1030 to enable it:

Another member has an Elitebook. I'll tag him to see if @IT_WinSec  has any ideas.

Hi,

No ideas, too. My Elitebooks don't support the SureView feature. I have seen it, it's cool and useful, though

  • If a software was deleted, I would suggest you follow @CherylG 's suggestion and restore the drivers.
  • Or, you may try "turning back time" by running SYSTEM RESTORE - I hope it is enabled with you because it can restore your programs, Win registry, system files, etc to a previous state without affecting personal files. You can read more about it here >> https://support.hp.com/za-en/document/c03327545

Note - System Restore is a Windows feature, not related to System Recovery, HP recovery,etc
