HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eh0000 (9WD46AV)

The problem is when adjusting the brightness, it rises to 30-60% and then goes to 0 and stops responding to adjustment; sometimes the screen flickers

@nikitos12342205,

Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Update Display Drivers:

  • Go to Device Manager (right-click the Start menu and select it).
  • Expand Display adapters and right-click on your display driver.
  • Select Update driver and follow the prompts to update.

Reinstall Display Drivers:

  • In Device Manager, right-click on your display driver under Display adapters.
  • Select Uninstall device and confirm.
  • Restart your laptop, and Windows should reinstall the driver automatically.

Update BIOS:

  • Go to the HP support website and search for your model (HP Pavilion 15-eh0000).
  • Download and install the latest BIOS version.

Adjust Power Settings:

  • Go to Control Panel > Power Options.
  • Make sure you're using a balanced or high-performance plan, not power saver.

Disable Adaptive Brightness:

  • Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Change plan settings.
  • Click Change advanced power settings.
  • Under Display, disable Adaptive brightness for both battery and plugged in modes.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Make sure your system is fully updated.

Check for Malware:

  • Run a full scan with Windows Defender or another antivirus software to rule out any malicious software causing the issue.

Try an External Monitor:

  • If you have an external monitor, connect it to your laptop and see if the issue persists. This helps identify if it's a hardware or software issue.

I hope these steps help resolve the issue

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
