HP Zbook Studio G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My notebook does not have a single DisplayPort, however it does have a thunderbolt 3 port.

Thunderbolt 3 should be able to support DispalyPort 1.2, however when connecting my monitor it does not throughput any signal at all.

I tried updating the Thunderbolt firmware, and all other drivers are up-to-date, but nothing worked so far...

Any suggestions?

What type of adapter cable are you using?

Having the same issue.

Zbook 15 G3.

Adapter is a Cable Matters Thunderbolt-3 to DP adapter cable.

I've tried both of the TB connectors on the right side.  Just.doesn't.work.

I use one made by a company called Innergie which I got from amazon.com:

That adapter works with the zBooks????

Whoops, forgot to update/remove the topic. Turned out that the display port in my monitor was really really tight (makes sense, as it was new), so I just had to push harder 🙂
For the ones still wondering: if you have your thunderbolt port running with the latest updates, every such cable should work (as long as the cable is not defective of course)

Well, prior to this, I had purchased what appeared to be a high quality Cable Matters USB-C to DP adapter cable.  Didn't work at all.  Nothing.

Looks like HP does have an official USB-C to DP adapter.  If that doesn't work...then something is seriously messed up somewhere.

Hmm thats weird...
I currently use a DeLOCK 85256 2m USB C to DisplayPort cable, as do some of my friends, and it works like a charm.
