I also have a 13-ae055na  Spectre with a Tilt pen bought in April 2018. I can turn the Bluetooth off but if I press the end cap i can briefly see a green light flash. The charge holds for about 3 days even if I haven't used it.

How on earth do you turn the thing off COMPLETELY???

HP Recommended

You simply cannot. Very smart, isn't?

What a ridiculous idea. Having said that it only takes about 30 minutes to charge. But that is a pain if you forget ....

You can charge your's?  The stupid pen I got with my brand new HP envy, bought yesterday, has NO light (no matter how I twist turn or otherwise look for a locking mechanism) it has NO charging function, taking AAAA batteries.  And NO off switch.

so very, very dissapointing

grrr

Is insane to think "hey I want to use the pen, I'm going to charge it so I can use it in 30 min". There has to be a way to turn this thing off and I don't understand why HP is not helping us.

Just need to know how to turn the stupid pen off so as not to waste the battery for when I do decide I need it. Who thought it would be a great idea NOT to be able to turn it off anyway????????

@Riddle_Decipher

I have the same issue and frustration (as previously reported) so if you can PM too me I'd be grateful (or find a way round the privacy policy to post the answer on this forum as I'm sure others have a similar issue).

I'm calling BS on that one.  This is supposed to be a help forum - why would anyone be prevented from posting solutions?

Hi!

I really appreciate you getting in touch but this is clearly an issue affecting more people.

I'll be glad to help in anyway I can but I really think HP should solve this issue publicly so everyone knows that, at least, it's interested in the satisfaction of their customers.

Thank you for your time and have a nice day.
