Can somebody please tell me how to switch off the tilt pen to save battery life. I am fed up of charging the pen for an hour every time I wish to use it. I have read through all of the posts and tried all of the solutions posted, but the pen still will not turn off. The pen connected and works well when charged.

@luckylad If the device's battery drains too soon, that's not normal, once you observe the device, if it had been giving better battery life earlier, yet it's not the same anymore, it could be concluded that its a hardware malfunction, and I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:
1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options".
Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,

@luckylad Here's a related post worth reviewing, although, in my opinion the pen/stylus cannot be turned off, unless it's got removable batteries, and you take them out, it'll have to be charged once its drained to be used, or wait until the battery drains and consider it turned off, as there's no switch to turn it off as per the user guide, by design.
P.S: Welcome to HP Community 😉

OK then, if I accept that the pen can't be turned off, why does it discharge so quickly. I have an Apple pen that hasn't been used for 2 weeks and it still has over 40% charge. If the tilt pen lasted 2 weeks we wouldn't be having this conversation. I will continue to monitor the duration of the charge.
