I think I have a cracked screen

You posted this same thread three times now -- more posts don't get any better response than one post.

 

How did the screen get cracked?

 

The standard HP warranty is 12 months from the date of purchase -- but you have to register it with HP to set the warranty start date to your purchase date.  Did you register it?

 

Also, HP Support Assistant will tell you the warranty status of your device.
