Hello,

I’m experiencing an issue with my HP computer’s touch screen. It seems to be registering touches automatically and often records multiple touches at once. This problem is making it difficult to use the touch screen effectively, as it frequently registers unintended inputs.

Details:

  • Device Model: HP EliteBook 830 G7 Notebook PC
  • Operating System: Windows 10 pro
  • Issue Observed: The touch screen registers touches automatically and sometimes multiple touches at the same time without any physical interaction. This issue persists across various applications and even on the desktop.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

  1. Cleaned the touch screen to ensure no dirt or smudges.
  2. Checked for and installed any available updates for the operating system and touch screen drivers.
  3. Attempted to recalibrate the touch screen, but the issue persists.
  4. Disabled and re-enabled the touch screen through the Device Manager.
  5. Checked for external interference but found none.

Request: I would appreciate any advice or solutions from the community on how to resolve this issue. If additional troubleshooting steps or a hardware check is needed, please let me know.

Thank you in advance for your help!
