About 2 weeks ago, my touchscreen and audio suddenly stopped working. I have checked Device Manager and the I2C HID Device has a yellow warning, and says:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

A request for the HID descriptor failed. This typically occurs when there is a problem with the device firmware.

Please contact the system manufacturer for further assistance.

I also seem to have two I2C HID Device's, but only 1 of them isn't working. Either way, my touch screen and audio have stopped working at the same time.
I have tried all possible "simple" solutions that have been suggested online, such as disabling, enabling, uninstalling, updating etc. When I try and update the I2C HID device, it says it is unable to.
I believe it is a hardware error (although I don't even know what that actually means). But when I tried to carry out a Component Test in the BIOS (i think it is called that), the touch screen option wasn't even there. So it appears my laptop no longe recognises it has touch screen at all anymore.
My device also says: "No pen or touch input is available for this display", again suggesting that it has just completely removed touch screen or something?

And for some weird reason, the audio has stopped working at the exact same time (even though I don't think touch screen and audio are related).

I encountered this same issue about two months ago, but I managed to fix it (however I have forgotten how I actually did it), but now I can no longer fix it. Also, I think it is a more serious issue now, as no matter what I do I can't fix it.

I genuinely don't know what to do anymore, so I need some help.
