Hello,
I am hoping someone can help me. My laptops touch screen isn't working anymore. I have tried to navigate to device manager-human interface devices-hid compliant touchscreen is missing. I have also tried to reinstall touch screen driver via device manager by right click human interface devices, select scan for hardware changes. that didn't work. I tried to manually add a legacy device: 1. press windows key + R, type devmgmt.msc then hit enter. 2. click action > add legacy hardware > Next 3. select install the hardware that I manually select from a list. 4. select show on all devices. 5. on the first window select Microsoft. 6. on the next window select HID Compliant touch screen. 7. next and proceed with the prompts. This didn't work either because when i got to step 6, HID compliant touch screen was missing. someone please help!
Thank you
