Hi @ImranAmarAfg,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the touch screen on your HP Pavilion 11 x360 is not working despite reinstalling Windows, updating drivers, and BIOS, and if it’s not showing up in Device Manager, there are several troubleshooting steps you can follow to diagnose and potentially fix the issue:

1. Check Hardware Connections

  • Inspect Physical Connections: Sometimes, a loose or disconnected touch screen cable inside the laptop can cause the touch screen to stop working. If you're comfortable opening the laptop, you can check the internal connections.
    • Turn off the laptop and disconnect all power sources.
    • Open the laptop case carefully (refer to the service manual for your model).
    • Check the cable connections between the touch screen and the motherboard.

2. Verify Touch Screen Detection

Device Manager:

  1. Open Device Manager (right-click Start and select Device Manager).
  2. View Hidden Devices: Click View > Show hidden devices.
  3. Check for Touch Screen Entries: Look for any entries related to touch or HID-compliant devices.

Human Interface Devices:

  1. Expand the Human Interface Devices section.
  2. Check if there's an entry named HID-compliant touch screen or similar. If it's missing, it might indicate a hardware issue.

3. Run Windows Troubleshooter

  • Troubleshoot Hardware and Devices:
    1. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
    2. Select Additional troubleshooters (if available).
    3. Choose Hardware and Devices and run the troubleshooter.

4. Recalibrate the Touch Screen

  • Calibrate:
    1. Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Tablet PC Settings.
    2. Under the Display tab, click Calibrate. Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the touch screen.

5. Check Windows Settings

  • Tablet Mode:
    1. Go to Settings > System > Tablet.
    2. Ensure that Tablet Mode settings are configured correctly. Sometimes, enabling and disabling Tablet Mode can reset touch functionality.

6. Update or Reinstall Drivers

Update Drivers:

  1. Open Device Manager.
  2. Right-click on the touch screen driver (if available) or Generic PnP Monitor.
  3. Select Update driver and choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Reinstall Drivers:

  1. Uninstall the touch screen driver (if present) or HID-compliant touch screen from Device Manager.
  2. Restart the laptop and Windows should attempt to reinstall the driver.

7. Check BIOS Settings

  • Access BIOS:
    1. Restart your laptop and press the appropriate key to enter BIOS/UEFI (usually F2, F10, Esc, or Delete).
    2. Check for Touch Screen Settings: Some BIOS versions have settings related to touch screen functionality. Ensure that the touch screen is enabled.

8. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Power Cycle:
    1. Turn off the laptop.
    2. Disconnect all power sources (remove the battery if removable).
    3. Hold the power button for 15-30 seconds.
    4. Reconnect the power sources and turn on the laptop.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
