Hi @Harish_Bhabad,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP laptop's touchscreen has stopped working, here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue.

Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve touchscreen issues.

Check Touchscreen Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Pen & Windows Ink and ensure that the settings are properly configured.
  • You can also check under Device Manager if the touchscreen is disabled:
    • Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
    • Expand the Human Interface Devices section.
    • Look for HID-compliant touch screen. If it's disabled, right-click on it and select Enable.

Update or Reinstall Touchscreen Driver:

  • In Device Manager, right-click on HID-compliant touch screen and choose Update driver.
  • Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
  • If updating doesn't work, try reinstalling the driver by right-clicking on HID-compliant touch screen, selecting Uninstall device, and then restarting your laptop. Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.

Run Hardware Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  • Find and run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates. Install any pending updates.

Perform a System Restore: If the touchscreen stopped working recently, you might consider performing a system restore to revert your laptop to a previous state:

  • Type Create a restore point in the Windows search bar and select it.
  • In the System Properties window, click on System Restore and follow the prompts.

Check for Physical Damage: Ensure that the screen is clean and free from any physical damage or obstructions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
