Hi all,
Has anyone found a way to stop touch screen pinch zoom? I would like to be able to turn this off. This is not a Kiosk system, just a private laptop.

Good Day. A warm welcome to the HP community. I reviewed the case regarding issues with disabling pinch zoom. Superb description, brilliant troubleshooting and terrific observations made before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂
To assist you with accurate information I would require more information regarding this:

For now, try these steps:
To disable the pinch zoom feature in Windows 10:

- From the window click on Additional mouse option.
- Click on the Device Settings tab and click on Settings button.
- From the left side panel, click Pinch Zoom option and uncheck the box Enable Pinch Zoom.
- Click on Apply and OK.
- Close the window and check if the changes are effective.

Please try these steps:
- First backup your registry by following these steps from this Microsoft link: https://hp.care/2rfmxxb (How to back up and restore the registry in Windows)
- Then press the Windows Key and the letter "R" to bring up the Run command box.
- In this box please type the command Regedit and press the OK button.
- The Registry editor window opens up.
- Now carefully navigate to this option in the registry editor and change the value.
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Zoom. Add a DWORD (32-bit) value named ZoomDisabled and set it to 1
- This should resolve the issue.
I did some research and found that in the Microsoft community link: https://hp.care/2I4Bg7N (Disable Pinch and Zoom on Touch Screen in Windows 10)
Before attempting this, please backup your registry first.
