Dear HP Community
HI
I have been using an HP ProBook 640 G2 6th Gen laptop for the last 6 years, and recently I observed my touchpad mouse stop responding.I upgraded Windows 11 from Windows 10 about 11 months ago, and everything seems fine. After detecting the issues, I have reinstalled Windows 11 22H2 & Windows 10 22H2 also, which are recommended OSs. During OS installation, the touchpad mouse performs well, although the scroll does not work, but I believe it's standard.
Once Win 10 or Win 11 completes its installation, the mouse stops working, and I have checked almost all Synaptics. sMbus Touchpad Driver from Oldest to New but the Same. After restarting and Login the mouse pointer does not move through the touchpad. Also, I'd like to mention that if I uninstall HID Compliant Touchpad Driver from Human Interface in Device Manager , the mouse starts working but without scrolling features.
Please help me with this issue and also guide me. Is it a hardware issue, like the touchpad board being damaged?
