Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

My touchpad is not working, I'm using

  1. HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible PC 14-dy0000
  2. Windows 11 23H2
  3. Driver I2C H2C version: 10.0.22621.2506

The main issue is that the device manager shows an I2C HID device issue, (This happens on Windows 11 23H2 but for 22H2 does not appears)

I tried every solution from 2023 until now on the internet, nothing works, and here is a short list:

  1. Update from Windows update
  2. Restart device
  3. Update I2C HID from drivers exe files provided by HP
  4. Disable/Enable it, and also wait for 1h before enabling it.
  5. Turn off "Allow this device to awake the computer"
  6. Uninstall and reinstall devices
  7. Go to bios and check for any warnings and find anything wrong.
  8. Do every step from this ticket https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Video-Display-and-Touch/Touchpad-stopped-working-and-I2C-HID-....

Unfortunately, nothing happens, and I'm not sure why HP does not support Windows 11 23H2 on their drivers for my laptop

Any help please ?

Hello Nobani, go to Device Manager and uninstall that driver you have, then restart the laptop, then install this driver that I leave you to download.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp147001-147500/sp147316.exe

Also install these two drivers.

Hello Nobani, uninstall the driver first if you have it installed and restart the laptop, I am going to leave you some download links and see if it allows you to install them.

Hi Nobani, go to Start, right click Device Manager, go to Driver and click Update, but instead of Search for drivers automatically, click Search my PC for drivers and then Choose from a list of drivers available on the computer. one or two, normally only one comes out, install the driver that you have to install. Let's see if this is how you install the driver and the problem is solved.

Greetings.

Hello Nobani, there is only the driver for 22H2 to download, it may not work due to the incompatibility of the 23H3 version, try changing the compatibility and see if it lets you install.

I leave you a link that explains what to do to solve this error.

Thanks for your effort, unfortunately, i tried to disable checking for os version and compatibility, even I changed the cmd files to not checking for windows, and it bypassed it but the installation finished without any change, like the window appeared and then disablers in half a second.

And also the device manager still showing the same issue,

It looks like HP should support windows 23H2, it started to be as legacy issue, sense most ppl suffering from this.
